Description

In Episode 3, hosts, Mark Drucker and Drew Webster, discuss dog vaccines with Dr. Zenithson (Zenny) Ng. They break down the  different types of vaccines, including modified live, killed, and recombinant. Emphasis is placed on which vaccines to think of as “core” such as rabies, parvo, and distemper, while categorizing others as optional, as they depend more on geographical and lifestyle factors. They also address the concerns of people who tend to be vaccine-hesitant and the importance of informed conversations with veterinarians.

Dr. Ng discusses specific dog vaccines that may be considered optional, including Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Canine Influenza, and Lyme Disease, and he provides insights on public health concerns as well as the symptoms and dangers of each disease should a dog contract them.
